I am a person with a love of numbers and a joy for teaching Math along with other Life Skills courses. I look forward to giving more time to teaching Math and Life Skills subjects and would like to share this enthusiasm with you! My goal is to provide instruction in a way that uses a student’s strengths to conquer any weaknesses with confidence which leads to success.
Although many seen the teacher in me before I did, my zeal for numbers lead me to a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting which meant more experience for me in college with different types of Math and Math related courses. I knew any career I followed just had to include them! 😉
Fast forward through my personal home-schooling and professional background, it was clear that I found the most purpose when working with kids. Whether with my own or with others, it is an amazing moment when the student just “gets it!”
From my experience as an online remedial Math and Reading instructor, an online Math grader correcting problems and giving feedback to students, a volunteer homeschool online World Geography and Study Skills teacher, and a standardized test administrator and scorer, the variety of my work in the Education field gives me a unique understanding that no matter the subject, it’s how the student learns that matters most.
I hope you will allow your child to experience a chance with me at enhanced learning, connecting with others, and, if needed, a less frustrating take on Math and other Life Skills!
